The Pickerings were wealthy Liverpool bankers who lived at Montebello, New Brighton, Cheshire.
Edith Paulina Pickering married Rev Arthur Myers.
Her son Fred Myers came to New Zealand to work on the farm of his cousin, Fred Pickering at Beaconsfield, near Feilding.
Fred Pickering married Nellie Beattie and they had two daughters, Joan & Dinah. They moved to Hawkes Bay where Fred died in 1941.
